I believe they cut it too much in the assumption that most everyone had read the book and would be able to follow the plot by filling in the bits that would have made the movie more complete.
This is the page on which i'm posting my thoughts and overall review of the film. Right now, it is THE page with a name and it is also here for you to ask me questions (should you wish to) for which, i will now answer.

The summary:

This is probably the most powerful and emotional film that i've ever seen. I teared up, i must admit, but one thing i will say, is that it needed a little more length to it and alot, and i do mean alot less comedy.

Things i liked:

Everything.

The music.

Ralph, Alan and Michael.

The Princes Tale.

The Forest Again and Kings Cross.

The Oscar standard performances.

The panning shots. Not only of Hogwarts, but of everything.

The whole cryworthy nature of the entire film.

The fact that once Ron and Hermione kissed, they became a couple very much in love, constantly gazing at each other. They finally confirmed one anothers love and they seemed to enjoy holding hands.

Things i disliked:

It ended.

The cringeworthy comedy.

There was no final Hogwarts shot.

It was too short, we didn't have enough time to let it settle in.

My top 5 and favourite moments:

1. The Princes Tale.

2. Kings Cross.

3. The Forest Again.

4. The final duel and confrontation.

5. Anything else with Ralph, Alan and Michael in it.

The verdict:

9.5/10.

It could have been more, but i'm happy for now.

Ask away. I'm ready, willing and able.

Lord Stafford.

I'm done with Harry Potter because it's a harmful influnce to witchcraft. I'm a total christain, and I stuck to that. Thanks everyone for a good time on this website, but God and heaven is more important to me then Harry Potter.

http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Videos/witchcraft_repackaged.wmv

“... the sin of witchcraft...” —1st Samuel 15:23

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN SAVED?

Is there a time and place in your life, when you trusted in the blood of Jesus Christ? Not joined a church, not kept the sacraments, not baptism, not good works — but simply, by faith, prayed and asked Jesus Christ to save you?

To die without Jesus Christ will be the worst thing you could ever do...

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE." Revelation 20:15

YOU CAN BE SAVED THIS VERY MINUTE!

It's simple to be saved...

Know you're a sinner.

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10

"... for there is no difference. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins.
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, ..." 1 Peter 2:24

"... Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," Revelation 1:5

And the best way you know how, simply trust Him, and Him alone as your personal Savior.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE SAVED?

Pray this prayer, and mean it with all your heart.

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and unless you save me I am lost forever. I thank you for dying for me at Calvary. I come to you now, Lord the the best way I know how, and ask you to save me. I now receive you as my Savior.

In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

How far are you with the 6th movie?
DR: Right in the middle.
RG: I haven’t done so much but Dan has already been filming for a few months.

Is this like a second home for you?
ML: Definitely. And I also sleep here. They tell you to look asleep and I really fall asleep. The beds are extremely comfortable. And I do come here for seven years now.

Do you have the whole script or just you own scenes?
EL: Yeah but they’re changing something every day.
RG: It’s really good. And I liked the 6th book a lot. We’re going to do some cool things.

The 6th part is a major movie for Ginny.
BW: Yeah, yeah I..
EL: You’re supposed to say: "I’m really looking forward to play Ginny again."
BW: Yeah it’s definitely a good film for her. Until now it was a lot of fun.

Are we going to see the scene with Luna during Quidditch in the movie?
EL: Yes, no, wait a minute. The commentary, I don’t think so. But the lion's hat is there to make us forget the no commentary thing.

Do you read the books again before the shooting or are you relying on David Yates to tell you what to do?
BW: I’ve read all books and I love them but they can’t put everything in the movies and that’s a pity. But I think the most important parts are in it.
RG: This time Ron has a girlfriend and there isn't a lot of kissing going on for which I’m grateful.
DR: I’m looking forward to see Rupert kissing Lavender Brown. That’s going to be funny.

The next movie is probably going to be not as dark as the last one. In the book are a lot of funny scenes.
DR: Yes, I think so, that’s the short answer but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a lot of terribly dark scenes
DR:… Especially in the third part, but, yeah, there are a lot of really funny scenes. Comparing to the other movies this script is the funniest.

You know Emma for so long, it has to be strange to fall in love with her (character) now?
RG: Yes, especially after reading the 7th book and knowing how the story ends. It’s a little embarrassing but I’m going to make it.
DR: I’m going to try to bring something of the Will Ferrell comedy school to Hogwarts. That’s going to be my mission. No, I love comedy and it will be interesting to see more of Harry's sense of humor.

BW: We’re doing it for so long now and can be relaxed and concentrated on the acting. And David Yates is directing again and it’s nice to have that kind of continuity.

DR: During the last few weeks I worked a lot with Jim Broadbent. It was great, he is a great actor and it’s very interesting to work with him.
EL: It’s always nice to be here. No matter what you have to do even if you only have a few scenes, you’re meeting new people. There’s not a single boring day.

You have old people here and new people, it’s a bit like school, you’re coming back and there are new students and new teachers.
DR: Yes but it’s more fun than a normal school. And it’s great having people like Jim or Imelda Staunton come on board and you can learn so much from them, you’re getting new ideas and learn.

Which Potter film do you believe is the least PG?

For all intents and purposes, i believe that it is GOF. And now... onto my explanations for and against with each of them.

PS: There must be something wrong when this has better deaths than the last film. But, all the while, this is of course the most PG. It is almost strictly for children unless it is watched by and with their parents.

COS: Whilst it doesn't have that much going on, it is probably the scariest childrens film around. It is chilling, thrilling and it contains alot of death. How can this be a PG? Well, it does, like i say... include alot of death. It isn't hidden, and for some reason, WB weren't a bunch of pussies back then.

POA: This is when they up the ante. The darker themes are now even more in the forefront of the story. The whole climax has a feel about it that doesn't feel right for children. We see the process of someone having their soul sucked out and almost taken for good. We see the equally gruesome process of the human into werewolf transformation. Neither are particularly pleasant, now, are they?

GOF: The whole tone of it, there are a few jokes here and there but they are not as detrimental as HBP's. Even in the first minute, they have something for us to chew on our fingernails for. The graveyard duel and confrontation alone is the least PG moment in the series, that's for certain.

OOTP: With no disrespect, this could have easily be made by Disney. It has the overall look and feel about it, that whilst it is teenage angst and all that... it still has a clear and vibrant sense of being somewhat childish. Only when we finally see Dumbledore and Voldemort face off, do we see a glimpse of things to come.

HBP: If fellow filmmakers need any reminding... this is the definition of a chance lost. As good as it is, it still goes down the drain with the cafe scene. For all the wisecracks, it is still good. It just is what it is 'a chance lost' as far as adaptations go, this is very bad. You read the book and then watch the film, and you can't help feeling that something was and must have been very wrong in the creative process. This is perhaps the darkest book, and for many reasons, but it is also the lightest film along with OOTP.

Part 1: It's no wonder when they are out and about in the wilderness, that they would be captured, attacked, and almost raped in Hermione's case. This is a film without cheesy jokes, unless of course you call the dance a joke, which i do. The Malfoy Manor climax is the perfect example of when you can tell that any of us fans might indeed be just as talented as a 'professional screenwriter'

Part 2: You want lies and American humour galore? Come and see Part 2. If i was to adopt an advertising voice, that would work quite well. Apparently this would be a 'war film' and in the genre of 'epic' not just for the sake of saying it. It is neither 'war' or 'epic' because if it was, it is lacklustre in both departments, as is the space filled by and because of Mark Day. Like i said... there must be something wrong when PS has better deaths than this.

Lord Stafford.

How would you describe Voldemort in each of the films that he appears?

His mindset often changes from bad to worse, as we know, but... being more exact, what would you say about him and his personality in each of the movies?

PS: This is probably the hardest one because he barely even exists, other than a disembodied parasite. His brain is still in tact as he tries to lure Harry into his realm, using his persuasive powers with Harry's parents returning. This didn't work as his anger got the best of him, letting Harry know that it was all just a trick. You can see where he went wrong, and you can also see how and why he was and still is feared.

COS: This is Tom, and this is the birth of Voldemort. You can see the charming Tom but you can also see the monster that is Voldemort. That is of course just a memory of him, and it is pretty much Voldemort within Tom's body... as though they were not of the same being, body and soul. His clever mind again leads him to making rash decisions, allowing Harry to kill the Basilisk, and unknowingly to Harry... destroy one of the Horcruxes in the diary of Riddle.

GOF: The Dark Lord is reborn, and there is no Tom Marvolo Riddle to be seen. But if you look closely into his eyes, you can still see the boy... but he is long gone, long lost. He had already spiraled into darkness, but you can see what sets him apart from other dark wizards, as he his known as The Dark Lord. Not only is his appearance enough to frighten anyone and anything, but his mental state is all over the place. Simply put, he is a psychopath without feelings, morales or remorse. You could say that he is a sociopath.

OOTP: In this one, he is similar, but he lacks the fundamentals that made him The Dark Lord. He became alot more cocky in this, alot more full of himself. He doesn't have as many elements in this one, as many mood swings that also make him The Dark Lord.

HBP: Tom is back, and now he is more subtle and charming than ever. When you look into his 16 year old eyes, you can see Ralph's eyes... which is a very smooth casting decision. When you look at his 11 year old self you realise immediately what Dumbledore does, which is incredibly chilling. The future Dark Lord is already seen at 11 and 16 years old respectively.

DH: Part 1 - I'm afraid we don't see enough of him in this one, but his one major scene that takes place at Malfoy Manor is genuinely frightening, and it is second in that respect only to his Graveyard resurrection. Harry experiences terrifiying visions of Voldemort on his quest for The Elder Wand, killing and searching still, all along the way. He plants his magical familiar Nagini in the body of a person that he had killed for this purpose, ready for Harry to return home.

DH: Part 2 - This one shows the extreme lengths that Voldemort is prepared to go to, in the hopes and desperation of preserving his own immortality. Like a wounded monster, as Harry says... he is still most dangerous. Whilst he is, even he has big mishaps and they prove most costly as he never realises his mistakes, still doing things without thinking... like killing Snape, and using the Killing Curse on Harry... one too many times, i might add. He couldn't feel remorse, and so, he finally died.

In conclusion, i would have to say that the Voldemort from GOF was THE Dark Lord. The essence of Voldemort was shown perfectly.

Lord Stafford.

Ask if anyone genuinely dislikes GoF, because I really don't think there are that many...

Me - That's a good idea, sure.

The original link, just in case you all need it as extra proof: http://harrypotterforum.com/discussion/9425/is-there-anyone-who-genuinely-dislikes-deathly-hallows-part-2/p2

Lord Stafford.

The beginning of an era:

The beginning of our childhood. We were all cojoined and brought together by one passion and one love. The captivating creation of Harry Potter, written originally by the creative genius that is JK Rowling. It is now exactly 10 years since we saw Harry Potter for the first time on the silver screen. It has become the highest grossing film series of all time.

November 16th 2001.
November 16th 2011.

We were bound by new friendships that we made with people from across all borders, and some will have found love through it, all because of one woman... Jo Rowling. We have now come to the end of that era, with the last film released and no more books to be released. The beginning of a new era has begun. It is time to start afresh. To start anew.

Thank you, Harry, and thank you, Jo... for everything.

“You are my childhood.”

It’s been long time coming, but we’ve made it this far.
Others might not understand, but that’s alright, ‘cause we know there’s more to it.
This ain’t like anything else we’ve ever experienced, and frankly, I find that amazing.
Now some could say that it’s a fad, that it’s a trend, that someday, it’ll all fade away.
But I don’t believe that. In such a short period we’ve made bonds that will last lifetimes.
And I’ll be damned if I allow myself to let go without a fight.
This phenomenon is blind to age, gender, race, and location.
So even though we’ve reached the end, it’s not over yet.
We’ll still have each other. All the friendships, and all the laughs.
And when it seems dark, we’ll all be there with out stretched hands.
Life’s a funny thing. It can present you with surprises around every corner.
No one knows what tomorrow will bring, but we can hope that it brings us all a little bit closer.

This is the last call.
This is the final song.
This is the last goodbye.
So give all that you can.
Let me hear you now,
Singing out loud and proud.
No more tears will fall,
‘Cause together we are strong.

We have the power of choice. We have the power to define our own future.
We merely have to step up to the plate and take hold of what we care for,
Not letting go of our dreams and wishes just because people tell us this all has a life span.
We all came across this by chance, and I’d be surprised if anyone at the time
Would have been able to predict that it would become what it is today.
It’s true, some things will slowly drift beyond the immediate,
But as a whole, we’ve cultivated something that defies boundaries.

This is the last call.
This is the final song.
This is the last goodbye.
So give all that you can.
Let me hear you now,
Singing out loud and proud.
No more tears will fall,
‘Cause together we are strong.

Now I know I can’t speak for everyone, I can only express my own feelings and views,
But I have a pretty good inclination that a lot of you are going down the same road as myself.
Ten years, ten short years. If only we had begun at year one.
Imagine where we might have been by now. But I digress.
As a great man once said, “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.”
We’re being given a fresh start. A new era is fast approaching.
But this time around, we are the storytellers.

This is the last call.
This is the final song.
This is the last goodbye.
So give all that you can.
Let me hear you now,
Singing out loud and proud.
No more tears will fall,
‘Cause together we are strong.

Credit goes to GoldenSeeker22 for the video, and Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls for the song and it's lyrics.

Feel free to share any of your thoughts and favourite videos, guys. I know that i sure as hell will.

Lord Stafford.

I know this seems out of the ordinary (and out of the blue) in any circumstances, even considering that Harry survived it twice, but I'm only going by what I've heard from others debating, this isn't what I believe, though i don't find it to be totally stupid and impossible. It is a possibility. Perhaps i would like to believe it, as Voldemort is my favourite character and is as powerful or almost as powerful as Dumbledore.

The reason why i bring this up is simple... i'm looking at one thing in particular, and it is when you see Ron and Hermione clutching each other, crying, during the final duel. Immediately after that, you see Voldemort writhing in agony. Also, the green light is shown sinking into his body at this same moment. The question is if he survived that first one. Was he still powerful enough do so? We all know how powerful he is, i'm just wondering if this is showing that. It certainly doesn't appear like he is doing what he is doing (being in pain, and apparently crying) because of Nagini... because that is what only makes him mortal, it wouldn't break the spell.

Is this yet another example of the filmmakers breaking head canon laws?! Or am i right in the possibility?

Lord Stafford.
