Work is going pretty well and I'll keep going to Leavesden until mid-February. Sorry that I came back that late but my programme is pretty hectic. Haven't checked your questions yet and I'll try to do my best the forthcoming days but I can't assure you anything; I'll be able to visit the site more frequently after mid-February.
Still, everything’s even more chaotic at Leavesden these days. Lots of shooting in various sets, we’re hectic to finish our work, the construction of a completely new and challenging set has begun and filming of the Ministry of Magic scenes is underway. I know Ralph Fiennes will be back on set to shoot a scene at the Ministry of Magic’s Atrium set. Tom Felton and Jason Isaacs come back this week for sure, as well. Michael Gambon will return on set as he and Alan Rickman have a great deal of scenes to work very soon.
Everything’s crazy in the art department as we’ve got to finish some maquettes for the Limbo sequence with Harry and Dumbledore that will be a very complicated scene to shoot.
Imelda Staunton will be filming until early February, as the Ministry of Magic sets will be used until that period of time.
It’s still chaotic at the studios. I’ve got to say that the new Hogwarts sets that will be used for the battle are beautiful. The Grounds are expanded, as well and you’ll be able to see every little corner of them in Part Two’s climax.
dream_silently, thank you for the many details released about what is happening on the sets of Deathly Hallows and bring much more to us.

Hey dream, a friend of mine went to Leavesden in Dicember. Obviously he didn't enter but he took some photos from the outside.
There is what it seems to be a destroyed version of the Great Hall....is that correct? Beside the 'violet' Burrow set.
I'm pretty certain Alan Rickman had filmed few stuff at the Great Hall where he's talking to the students.
Most probably it's one of the 'destroyed' parts of the castle. :)
And the set is an indoor one. So I am pretty sure it wasn't the Great Hall.
Well I think there's only one set for the Great Hall. Of course I may be wrong. All I know is that the maquette for the destroyed Great Hall and all the sketches were finished in July. And it's slightly peculiar because it's not an outdoor set. I know that part of it has been rebuilt but just a part of it. Not the entire set. I may be wrong though.
Feel free to ask whatever you want. I've got some free time tonight. ;)
1. Do you know anything about the Spinner's End scene (in the photos my friend took I've also seen some chimneys, so it's probably Spinner's End)?
2. What about the chamber of secrets? Why it is 'much changed' ?
The set he saw may have been one of the places where Voldemort goes to find Gregorovitch or Grindenwald. There are two 'villages'/'towns' sets.
I know that the Spinner's End set is still there though. And I'm 100% certain it's in the film.
The Chamber of Secrets set is going to be bigger. It's much different because it's mostly like a gigantic lake with very narrow stone aisles leading to the Head of Salazar Slytherin where the Basilisk's skeleton lies. It has a 'Cave' feel because it's like an underground lake. It is still reminiscent of the set in CoS but it's much more improved I guess.
Yes. Part of the village had been built. Along with its small graveyard. The Potters house had also been built. The scene where Harry and Hermione visit the village takes place in a 'snowy evening'. It reminds a bit of the snowy Hogsmeade set used in 'Prisoner of Azkaban' and re-used, with some changes, in Deathly Hallows too. But it's an isolated Muggle village. Silent and dark like the village where Slughorn was living in 'Half-Blood Prince'. Bathilda's House has also been built of course. Narrow halls, light coming from oil lamps. Very murky and haunting atmosphere. Though another interesting part of the house is the top of it. There is a large window (if you've seen 'Sweeney Todd' you'll perfectly understand what I mean) and feels like a very dusty attic. I think the scene where Hermione blasts the window and falls off the attic with Harry will be quite shocking.
Thank you dream ..
Some more questions from me ..
1)Will the real horcrux-locket be the same as the fake one ?
2)How will the whole tiara-horcrux thing will work as we haven't seen it in any of the RoR scenes in HBP?
3)Will Yates reshoot the whole -Voldemort murdering the Potters- scene ?
Thanks for the information dream, we appreciate it!
My questions for you is:
Will we see the Death Eaters coup d'etat against the Ministry and Scrimgeour's death? I really think shot of that intertwined with shots of the joy of the wedding could be pretty awesome.
No John Cleese doesn't return. Until now there's no announcement or anything at all.
Charlie?Charlie Weasley you mean? I think he's a cameo at the Burrow scenes.
There hasn't been any announcement yet. I am sure they'll announce it until Spring. I know there have been meetings with 3 different composers about the soundtrack of the film but no news yet. Rumor has it John Williams will indeed return. And that's very likely. But nothing's confirmed. We don't know that either.
Thank you dream ..

Thanks in advance..
I re-post it just in case you haven't seen it..Thanks again..
Oh Scrimgeour's death. I don't know if this will be interwined with the Burrow scenes but I know that it's been included.
No the Locket Horcrux is different. Much more 'elegant'.
I don't know about the diadem, Chris. But I know that Bonnie Wright's double was on set the days they were shooting the Fiendfyre sequence. So there will be an explanation. Sorry but the entire Battle of Hogwarts scenes have been changed too many times. Steve Kloves is still changing stuff. And they've even reshot two scenes. I guess they just want to fill all gaps.
No the 'flashback' with the Potters death that you saw in 'Philosopher's Stone' is not the same one in Hallows.
Thanks for answering Dream Silently, if you don't mind I have a few more.
1. Is the cafe attack after the wedding bigger? Is it a major set piece or just a skirmish?
2. Can you give us a estimate of how long Ron will be gone when he leaves for Part I? Will his journey by himself (being captured by Snatchers, the deluminator discovery) be as extensively covered like Harry and Hermione's though Godric's Hollow and Bathilda Bagshot?
3. Will Part I end with the Snatcher's capture of the trio? Or just the pursuit?
4. Can you give us some tidbits on Seven Potters? How awesome is the stuff they added?
wow! thank u so much for all the info! just a few questions...
1) How much is Lupin featured in the last two films? i have been really dissapointed with the lack of screentime given to David thewlis/ Remus lupin in the last 2 films seeing as how he is my favorite character
2) How big is scrimgeour's part in the last 2 films? bill nighy is listed as filming the second part of DH
Yeah when do you think we'll get a proper trailer? And will the action sequences be more prolonged than they were in the HBP? (far too short in my opinion)
The cafe attack is a skirmish. Slightly bigger than the one in the book I think. They smash the entire cafe.
Not a big part. There are very few scenes with Ron. It's 90% Harry and Hermione.
Well logically Part 1 ends with Voldemort leaving Grindenwald's prison and Death Eaters bringing the Trio to the Gates of the Malfoy Manor. But there's been a lot of talk about changing the finale. The same thing happens with Part One's opening. The script is still being altered. And they've reshot few tidbits. So nothing's sure yet. That's the reason they'll wrap in mid-June. They need more time.
Well the Seven Potters will be quite great to watch. They filmed most parts of it during Summer but filmed few more stuff in late Autumn (mostly Voldemort's part because Fiennes returned on set in early Autumn). Well I think it'll be a stunning scene. They've added more landscapes and scenes with all members of the Order and the other six Harrys.
Hey dream, do you know anything about the ever changing Hogwarts landscape? The terrain has changed a lot in the past films and I'm wondering how they've expanded it to make it more battle ready?

Oh and how is the battle going to be constructed? Any LOTR style battle charges? Or a bunch of small duels spread over large ground? Wizard dueling is far different from swords and the like so im wondering how they'll make it work.
Breaveheart I don't know anything about a trailer. It's too early I think.
Part 1 has enough action. The 7 Potters, Ministry infiltration and Silver Doe scenes are longer than the ones in the book.
Sportsman,
well I know Radcliffe had shot few stuff last Spring/Summer and Watson as well. They haven't completed the scene, though.
Radcliffe had to shoot a part on his own. Emma, as well. There are two brief scenes where they are needed together.
Wild rumors? Like?
I know it's going to be sexual but not anything shocking. And it's going to last a minute or so. I can't understand why people are so shocked.

I know that the slope leading to Hagrid's Hut is much larger and expands further. Though there are 7 different sets for that. They have also built some parts behind the Clock Tower. They've also built some parts of the Walls surrounding the castle-I think you saw a glimpse of that in 'Prince'.
The battle will expand to the shore of the lake.
I know that a large part of it takes place at the Grounds: slopes, Forbidden Forest, Hogwarts Gates and Walls. Then the battle takes place at the first towers of the castle as Death Eaters attack the top of the towers. It's going to be very grand and epic and there are so many small different parts of the battle. It's hard to explain. And I don't know much about that. I think it's going to look quite great.

Rita Skeeter has few scenes in Part 1. Mostly in her book and in Daily Prophet talking as well as moving photographs. But she's also at the Ministry and at the Burrow. She's mostly used for the plot with Dumbledore's past.
I don't know about the end of DH1 because it might change. If it ends at the scene where Greyback captures the Trio then I guess it'll feel like a cliffhanger.
I don't know anything about Lupin in Grimmauld Place. It may have been shot but I really don't know. I think it's not in the film.
Ralph Fiennes has to film a scene that has to do with Scrimgeour. It's when he invades the Ministry.
Aerial fighting? Sort of. Not any broomsticks. But there will be a mayhem where Death Eaters fight with members of the Order in the air. (The Apparation-style).
The Limbo will be brilliant. White light and mist, the environment will have a very otherworld-y and dreamy 'feel' and the trains will be in the far distance. Interesting enough, it ends with a train about to leave and Dumbledore heading towards it as Harry is left behind and returns to his 'body'. Kind of nostalgic and emotional.
It's different. The set is different, we'll see Voldemort (not just a man in a cloak)..it'll be reshot but at the same time it's much closer to the book's description. Philosopher's Stone showed a few-second glimpse.
Truthiness,
Scrimgeour dies in Part 1. I don't know why he's been listed in Part 2.
Lupin's role is a little bigger. He's got few scenes in Part One and he's featured in the battle of Hogwarts. We'll also see his death as well as his ghost in the forest.
Thank dream, there's wild rumors going around that Dan Rad will be "bare" during some part of DH. Most people thought it would be during this sequence.
I have a few more if you don't mind?
1. Does Ron dance with Hermione during the wedding?
2. What is the emotional high point and low point of Part I? I'm hoping Godric's Hollow and Moody/Hedwig's death are the answers to this.
3. Is the Ministry Break-in going to start out as more comical or will the whole sequence be really serious?
4. Do you have any time estimates for how long these sequences will be: 7 Potters, Wedding, Ministry Break-in, Godric's Hollow, and Silver Doe?
James will die very quickly. I think the flashback ends with Voldemort touching the child and ...it ends there.
Tonks doesn't have much screentime. She's not a big character. But of course she plays more than in OotP and HBP.
I don't think Ron dances with Hermione. Hermione dances with Viktor though.
I don't know. I am not on set when they're filming. But from what I know, I think that Godric's Hollow and Ron's leaving will be really emotional. The reunion with Ron at the lake will be quite good as well. I don't know about the low point of Part 1. I think Moody's death comes as a serious shock for everyone.
The Ministry Break-In starts as a serious sequence. Umbridge will give you a laugh in the beginning but when the battle erupts and the Muggleborns are free, things are getting much more serious as the Trio tries to find a way to escape.
I don't know about the running time of these sequences. I guess the Wedding will be 5 minutes long, 7 Potters around 7-8, Godric's Hollow (the entire scene?) almost 10 and Silver Doe another bunch of 6-7 minutes. But that's just a guess. I'm not good at these things.
