Either that's just her personal way of spelling it or WB cares so little about that "other franchise" that they don't even bother to spell the name right, ROTFL. It's ironic though if that's the case, that they'd be releasing a trailer with that film. It makes sense though, they placed a trailer with New Moon. Also, not sure if you guys realize this but I'm pretty sure I've heard that the DH footage that will be on the Lego Collector's Edition thing is coming out the same day as Eclipse. (June 30th)

Huh? You really think I"m making this up or what? I've been an avid fan (just a casual one before that...since I was 12) for the last couple years now. I posted here back when that shit with SCOOP was going on. I felt sooo had...I hate people like that. I basically stopped posting here after that but I still lurk and now it looks like Dream Silently has gone and done the same because what he said doesn't match up with some of the stuff in Phoenix123's scripts.

Actually I'm thinking "aggressive" campaign may refer to that...back to back trailers, teaser with Eclipse and theatrical with Inception.
Ah well, at least we know now and won't continue to be dissapointed when it's not with Shrek 4, Prince of Persia, etc
Sorry, I read "I'm debuting the trailer for May" and it sounded like you didn't believe it and still thought it was coming in May...though I couldn't figure out what "debuting" meant in that sentence. English must not be your first language
It's impossible that the first trailer will be with the fuc*** boring Twilight 3... Beause it will be only 4 months before the opening date of HP and the DH and for ALL the other HP films... The first trailer came out EIGHT months before... And FOUR months before it was the theatrical trailer not only the teaser trailer... I think May it's the maximum for a trailer...

Yeah, and it will be online anyways soon enough. In fact, if they continue the trend from the last couple it will debut over satellite (I think this is how they get it out to the media outlets) BEFORE it hits theatres. But I was really hoping it would be with Iron Man 2 or Robin Hood or something I actually wanted to see because there's nothing like seeing a Potter trailer on the big screen! It's just not the same watching it on my laptop, despite the fact I'm able to view it as much as I want, you know?

Exactly... I think WB thinks that only a lot of little teenage girl love Harry Potter... But a lot of boys, adults too and many of us want to see IM2 so it's crap if they put the trailer with Twilight... The marketing of this movie is not THAT good... And Twilight is not THAT popular... Look the second film... It was popular only on it's opening week-end and after that everyone saw it was more crap than shit...

Well over on CoS Forums we kinda came to a consensus a while ago that they probably figure they have enough of a built in audience for Potter that they really don't need to promote it with the biggest films or what will reach the widest audiences. I dunno, it does seem stupid but maybe there is a method to their madness, lol
Yeah... It's a good point... I mean... Even without a single trailer before the release of the movie, the movie will be EXTREMLY popular anyway because everyone want to see this film
I'm pretty sure that WB will release the teaser trailer for DH on April 30 with Iron Man 2. Long ago that the WB has not released anything new about DH, photo or vídeos.So let us wait!

Debuting the trailer with the next Twilight series does make some sense, a lot of female potter fans also enjoy Twilight and my guess would be that people who never shut up about it are closet fans as well. So they'll go to see it even if they claim just to see how "awful it is".
I'm not interested in Twilight so I won't see it. Haven't read the books or watched the films/
I do vouch for LCbaseball. He wouldn't make this up. If he says he got the email then he got the email. The only reason it would be incorrect is if the person sending the email was lying to him which is possible. Most likely not.
May was always only the earliest they could release a trailer, so it looks like they are going instead with the latest.
It is one of those things. They know that they are going to make money, so maybe they aren't so worried about when they release the trailer.
Thanks decarus. Guys, I would love for there to be a teaser trailer with IM2, but I just don't think it's gonna happen. Check out this post of mine from a few days ago and you'll see why. I found proof more or less on the Exhibitor site...which I don't have access to anymore funny enough. Still can't believe they apparently switched to a whole new website because of me, lol. I guess I was never supposed to have access in the first place. IIRC, I may have B.S.'ed and said I was part of a cinema circuit when I signed up for their site :p
Who knows, maybe they' want it a surprise, so maybe Kelly was lying to preserve secrecy...but I doubt it. I'd love that, but I seriously doubt it. Haven't they always announced like a week ahead of time when they are coming out? Now there's still a few days, but I'd say if we haven't heard anything by 1st of May, don't count on it :)

I don't really understand why you guys think releasing the teaser trailer in July is so late. The teaser for HBP was released in July and that was when they were still planing to release HBP in November 2008.
Mugglenet is just reporting the news that LCbaseball is stating here. He isn't lying. The only way that it would be wrong would be if one they change their mind or two if they woman who sent the email was lying. I am not sure that the woman has a reason to lie so most likely the information is good.
I do think May was a reasonable time to release a trailer. June was very late for HBP, i think because they were already planning on delaying it. I think for OotP which came out in November they released the first trailer in May.
Either way if the information ends up being incorrect it will only be because WB gave bad information and not because LCbaseball is lying. I never believe anything people write on this site, though i will always talk to them just to see what they say, but even if you don't know LCbaseball at all it is still reasonable for WB to wait until June to release a trailer.Twilight has always been considered one of the choices for a trailer release.
It's not a very good move... I mean... Only female audiences will see the trailer! They have to promote the film with a girl movie (Twilight) AND a boy movie (Iron man 2, Inception, etc.) So only promote the trailer in front of Twilight is not particulary a good move...
And if the information I was given was false or it's just been mis-interpreted...well all that means is we shall be surprised when the teaser trailer is released with say Prince of Persia. Not so bad. Personally I'd rather have that then be continually disappointed with each movie that comes out which doesn't have it. I remember being surprised by a few Half-Blood Prince trailers that were released online. Man that was awesome. Nothing like waking up to an un-expected Harry Potter trailer! :p
Anyways, I do hope for the sake of not having to see Twilight that she was lying or it was just so vague we aren't understanding right, lol
I certainly hope that she was mistaken as well, but it does make it easier to not be expecting a trailer and to just wait until Twilight then any footage that comes out before that will be a pleasant surprise.
I agree that Twilight is a girl film and not everyone will see it, but i do think that really anyone who is going to see Harry Potter will go see it. They aren't looking for new viewers here. By this time HP has a built in audience. That is why they probably aren't too worried about this sort of thing.
