Hey guys! Well I have decided to make a thread for myself. I know I haven't been posting as much as before but this is something I would really enjoy to do! So I will review these movies in order and I would also like your opinions and all, disagreeing or not. I know some of you may cringe at some of the3 ratings I would give and thats fine but just try to be nice. Sometimes I won't agree with most online reviews and all. I hope none of you guys mind. If there is a movie you guys recommend for me to see ( that is playing at the theater) let me know. As you can see I can see many movies lol. I'm going to be updating this thread. So thanks for reading guys, Love you :D Again, you don't have to comment or anything, this thread is basically for me. I would love some input though (:

Me so excited!

    #1 Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Ok, so I have never seen the previous "Mission Impossible" films and this being my first got me hooked into the series and I plan on seeing the previous ones. It was filled with alot of action, humor and over all just a good fun movie. One you can pop in on a lonely Monday morning with a bag of popcorn. Theres many ways to just have fun with this. From the awesome opening credits to the end you enjoy it. The plot is really good, and the woman are gorgous. There are a couple of scenes where you even ask about the action because there is plenty, but every action film has a scene or two where one expects something to occur. Even the talking scenes were good, and the skyscraper scene was spectacular. This is a movie I would watch again and again. The only problem with the movie is that some stuff are too silly to believe but hey, that can be fun as well. I recommend it.

    #2 The Adventures of Tintin

The animation. That is a prefect score, I love it so much. I think it should have been nominated at the oscars. Sometimes, it looks so real you dont know its animated. The story is good but could be better. There are sequences where you fall in love. Its a mystery animated movie so you know it camt be bad. The music is awesome, the theme so good. Im sure youd guys atleast like it. I was suprised at how good it was, I didnt have that much high hopes on it from the trailers. There are parts that do drag indeed, but the animation really helps it. For exampe the dialogue may not be very interesting but there is so much detail in the animation background, you just love it. So yeah, I loved it.

#3 Alvin and the Chipmunks 3: Chipwrecked

Well, from the very beginning you can tell that it will follow the same formula as the previous films. The chipmunks sing, laugh, dance etc etc. But this film has something extremely silly that will make anyone (except children ofcourse) facepalm hardcore. The chipmunks encounter a girl on an island and turns out to be the villain. But, despite the island about to be filled with lava, she decides to stay for the gold? This fact makes me lol. Anyways, if you enjoyed the previous ones, youll most likely enjoy this as well. I thought it was just meh, although there is a scene or two that is just silly that you love that scene. ( The mango scene, for those whove seen it ) But the plot is whacky, and I expected something a bit different. Alvins always in the middle, I believe its time to give one of the others a chance regardless of the title. I recommend it to ages 13 and under or if you enjoyed the previous ones. Don't see it if you dont like silly goofy kiddy films. I love a bit of silly, not goofy.

    #4 The Woman in Black

Ok, so I saw this movie twice. I think Dan does a great performance here. The story is good, not great but the jump scares are really well done. I love how spooky it feels since the beginning. The ending really was amazing, Im one of those who thinks the ending is one of the most important things in a movie. It was a powerful one to me, I teared. And you know, it leaves you thinking when you leave the theater. You just see that womans face in every corner. When the letter is being read and you hear the womans voice, you get chills. You know, I really cant wait to see this one again. Im sure most of you have seen it. But if you havent, and you love being spooked, be my guest!!!

    #5 This Means War

You know, this movie was very entertaining. I love the story and how it gets processed. The actibg was good. I love the leading cast, and I feel they all did a very good job. I had a really good time here because it was actually pretty funny and most scenes were just fun. One thing I dislike is Reese's "whoreish" decision and youll see what I mean when you see it. I mean I dont mind her decision just WHY. I would definitely see this again, and you should all give it a try!

    #6 Star Wars 3D

Epic music, acting and overall, I think it is a great series. The 3D was spectacular, the story was good and I found myself cheering at the race scene. It was a fun ride, and Im glad I waited to see it on the big screen. I now understand all the love for Star Wars. I need to see this movie again, and its sequels and prequels. There are a couple of scenes that do drag, but they dont hurt the movie at all. I feel that they were important even so. I was shocked whenone ofthe characters died. It was fairly interesting. I was surprised about how much I actually loved it. See it, definitely.

There is alot of airplane fighting and maneuvers. You know, I find this movie part touching and part rediculous. The way the guy meets the girl was indeed, rediculous. The way they fall in love (they cant undrstand each other, different languages) is also rediculous. But there are alot of airplane crashes, and throw in a train as well. The ending was sad and depressing, but realistic and I found that touching. I had a good time, and I feel that the acting was great. The black jesus comments never got old xD

    #9 Project X

You know at first, I found the movie to be somewhat offensive but I got over that and just realized that it keeps you in your seat the whole time. If you like movies like Super Bad then you will love this. It is border on NC-17 believe me. I found some scenes hilarious and others not so. Some were pointless, and the ending just makes you want to throw a big fat piece of cake at the screen, it is rediculous. As I told you, endings are important to me. I found Thomas to be somewhat of a douche, the friend annoyong and the fat boy dumb. But I guess I stayed in my seat and I watched it whole, whivh means I enjoyed it. I found Super Bad more enjoyable though. But yeah, this is a teen movie for sure.

    #10 Silent House

Oh man. Where do I begin? I really didnt like this movie at all. It bored me, I almost left and called it quits but no. I knew the ending before The movie hit its 30 min. mark. The one continous shot throughout is so annoying, I didnt like that. The girl cries for half the movie. She was acting pretty good. My main beef here is with the continous shot and the story. The way they design the house and the sets is brilliant. There was not one scene that made me jump. Everything was really predictable. People on the theater were pissed and so was I. I dont plan on seeing this movie again or its original. Like I said, the girls acting and the look of the movie are about the only things that were good.

    #11 A Thousand Words

I love Eddie Murphy, and if you do too I guess you will find this movie interesting. The story is not the best but it has great themes throughout. I think Eddie was the wrote guy for this movie otherwise it wouldnt be as entertaining as it was. Some scenes are cheesy as hell while others are good and/or funny. The starbucks guy cracked me up everytime. Haha. You know something I completely disliked was how Eddie never talks important things, but just says random stuff instead of being completely clear and you will know what I mean if you see it. Trust me, it is not as bad as people are saying on sites, and to me it wasnt even bad. I wouldnt mind seeing it again, its just not on my to buy list. But all Eddie Murphy fans should definitely go, he does his wackiness again!

    #12 Dr. Seuss' The Lorax

Wow. It was really good guys, It may even be the best Dr. Seuss film to date. But ofcourse, I love The Grinch as well ^.^ You know the musical numbers you see are pretty catchy you just want to dance along. The animation, the creatures are really cute. You get a great feeling watching this. The Lorax was great, the theme of the movie was just top notch. I found myself enjoying this more than Despicable Me. The ending gives you great chills. The cast voices are great especially Devito. I think this is a movie for all ages and you should all consider seeing it!

What'd you think of John Carter?
    #13 John Carter 3D

First of all, the 3D was unnecessary. You should see it in 2D. Second, The Plot was all over the place. You go from one location to another to another etc etc. Nothing is really explained. For example, why they kept caling john "virginia" when they knew perfect english. The cgi wasnt the best, it was ok. Now the acting was fairly good and the setting was very imaginative. The props and stuff are cool. The creatures are indeed, weird but I love the monster dog. If it was his movie, Im sure it would be epic xD The music didnt stand out, the ending was fairly enjoyable, the action that is. I loved the action bits, the dialogue was muffled and didnt catch your attention that much. It is nowhere near Star Wars or Avatar but it is ok nonetheless. I would see it again, but I would skip the boring parts.

    #14 The Hunger Games

Wow. I saw this movie at midnight amd during the same day Friday. It is very good, the score, the acting, the plot. The 2 hours go by so fast, it keeps you engaged. The only problem I had with the movie was that some scenes were alittle too shaky and some editing. But thats it, everything else was perfect. The changes from the book were amazing, some even made the film even more entertaining than what was written. I knew I would like this movie, but I didnt think I would love it this much, especially since I knew Lionsgate was behind this. I cant wait to see it again. I plan on two more viewings atleast. There was enough blood amd violence as there cod possibly be in a pg13 movie. Yeap, Gary Ross was the perfect choice guys and I believe that Catching Fire will be an awesome adaptation as well. Guys i dont meed to say this but I will:

    See It NAO!

Best movie of the year so far.

    EDIT- second best to TDKR

#15 Journey 2 the Mysterious Island

Well, this was actually pretty goofy, yet entertaining. What can you expect from Center of the Earths sequel? Well, there was alot of imagination and style that made this movie atlest a bit exciting. The humor is ok, and the story is too, but there are many things that happen just for the heck of it, like the island starts to sink right when they arrive? I guess it works for plot reasons lol, but it was ok. If you are bored and dont have anything to watch, this could be something to pop into the dvd player.

    #16 Wrath of the Titans

Well... It was better than Clash to me. It has amazing parts, epic parts and also boring parts, but it definitely looked good in 3D. I think that focusing on ralph and Liam alot this time around helped so much. And then the cyclops are cool too. I thought the CGI was good, nothing great. Although the end battle was a bit of a let down but there are alot of battles. I thought it was failry entertaining and not a waste at all. If you have time, go see it if not then rent it. :)

    #18 American Reunion

I have never seen the previous American Pie movies and you don't need to in order to enjoy this film. It was funny and naughty. Some movies dont do this well but this one did, it was hilarious! I loved Stiffler the best hes just an over the top guy and his addiction for sleeping with his friend's moms is funny. I laughed alot even if there was an old guy behind me kicking the seat lol -_- but whatevs, It was good and I was smiling on my way out. But don't see it with your parents or kids, it would be awkward lol. BUT definitely try to check it out if you love these type of films.

    #19 The Three Stooges

Well, there was certainly alot of laughs in the theater, mostly from kids but this is the first movie of the year in which the audience clapped at the end. I thought this movie was what it was supposed to be: goofy. kids will really love this. They will mimick them, and in the very ending the directors tell the kids to not do the stunts they just saw but they wont listen lol. I thought the 3 protogonists were good as their characters although some things were over the top. All in all it succeeded in being the goofy movie I thought it would be, if you seen the trailer thats what you can expect.

#20 The Cabin in the Woods

Wow. Haha, I went in this movie not knowing anything about it and was blown away. There are some comedy scenes and some very gory ones as expected that make the movie so fun! Now I dont want to say much, but there is much more than just a Cabin in the Woods and the less you know about it the better. The final shot was stunning. the acting was good especially from Chris and the guy whose always high. There are alot of surprises here, keep your eyes peeled for this one :D

    #21 Mirror Mirror

ok so the trailer makes the movie...look bad when it really isnt. I was actually pretty entertained, it wasnt even bad. It has soem things you dont even expect and the acting is ok. The dworfs were silly, some were annoying tbh. The actress who plays snow white is really pretty. OH and julia roberts... you just want to slap her! The Mirror Mirror is actually pretty wicked, youll see what I mean if you decide to see it. But dont base your decision on the trailer because the trailer is horrible compared to the movie. And the opening credits have a "Tales of the three brothers" Feeling ;)

    #22 Safe

Great action, the sound effects in this movie ROCK. The story is all over the place you really dont know whose who. There is alot of shaky cam (its lionsgate) but some scene call for it. Great acting as well, and very brutal. An 11 year old is always in danger and she witnesses so much horrific things. All of her scenes were great BTW but unfortunately we get many more scenes from the older cast sicne her scenes are mostly entertaining. Hers and Stathams. Overall it was a fun ride. Will I buy it? No, but it was a great time, popcorn filck.

My sister saw Jason Statham in London the other day. She thought he was filming for Safe, though I assume not. He was filming for something else, in Covent Garden.
