First pics from the remake of Carrie, with Chloë Moretz and Julianne Moore were published today.





Directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don't Cry, Stop Loss), the movie hits the big screen next year

It doesn't matter if it is a readaptation, re-interpretation. There's a movie about it already, so it IS made again. Remake. If Potter was shoot again in the future, would you call a re-adaptation or a remake? Everyone over here says it would be a remake. So whatever... Awesome. It's nice to see a good length of time elapsed between remakes, as well. Not that I was unhappy to hear about The Amazing Spider-Man, but 10 years? Little soon. Although, a direct-to-DVD Carrie sequel came out a few years ago, which was so similar it could have served as a remake. Had one of the London brothers in it. It wasn't too bad as far as straight-to-DVD goes, and had Amy Irving in it reprising her role as Sue Snell (she got a really undeserved fireplace poker through the skull). And this remake's shaping up nicely: with Kimberley Pierce, Julianne Moore and Chloe Moretz? The script is going to have to SUCK to screw it up. :) I'm pumped. And to the youngsters: you should absolutely seek out the original Carrie, before or after you watch the new one, doesn't matter. Some of De Palma's best work.
