I'm done with Harry Potter because it's a harmful influnce to witchcraft. I'm a total christain, and I stuck to that. Thanks everyone for a good time on this website, but God and heaven is more important to me then Harry Potter.

Two i'm not kidding. Harry Potter are just books, and movies of witchcraft. I'm a christain, and the Bible says it is wrong. So i'm sticking to the Bible because I know in the future I want to go to heaven. God has done so much for everyone, and I feel quiting Harry Potter is the least I can do. And plus their are other stuff then Harry Potter like Indiana Jones, Transformers, and Twilight.
Almost everything about Harry Potter is said to be bad in the Bible.

You said that magic goes against everything in christianity, so you should haveread the books in the first place. Even though I am sure there's nothing about Harry Potter in there...I'll have to check though.

I don't care that you believe in God, fine. I personally don't. But how can you POSSIBLY believe some greater being loves you, when he would supposedly throw you into hell for reading a F.I.C.T.I.O.N.A.L. book about people who, yes, use magic, but use it to stop evil and to stop people from ruling over others like they are God.
Harry Potter is just a story of good vs evil.
YES, the bible says don't use magic. But that's just so they don't try and assume God's position as an all mighty being. No good character is using magic to become all powerful. In fact, those in the book that DO try to use magic to become all-powerful are the evil ones.
And why do you read the Bible? Honestly? Yeah, to you, it may be the word of God. APPARENTLY. The fact remains that it was written by man. Humans, corrupt, liars, controlling, wanting power, wanting you to follow them unquestioning.
Follow GOD. Follow what you believe is right! Follow YOUR faith. Don't follow someone elses! That automatically means your faith is in THEM, and what they have to say, and not in God.
If you were any sort of good Christian, you would trust what you feel is right. What you truly think is the right thing to do. God is in the MIND. That's not me saying he doesn't exist, that's me saying, unless someone has claimed to have been directly contacted by God and directly (somehow) actually met him, God is just something you think about. Follow what your head says, and you are following God. Follow the Bible, and you follow some random guy probably named Bob who sat in a dark room and pondered how he could fool a lot of people.

Even if you were to go on saying you hate Harry Potter cause it's evil, JUST BECAUSE you're saying it doesn't make it true. You've liked Harry Potter all this time. Honestly...you have two choices really.
1. Trust and put your faith in a God you've READ about who apparently loves everyone, yet would send a baby who dies of natural causes to hell even though they hadn't yet learnt to talk and so could not apologise for Original Sin, who loves everyone yet there are incredible amounts of suffering in the world, who loves everyone, but would send someone to hell for watching something or reading something.

But she did use myths, correct. And what are myths? They're myths. SO ALSO FICTIONAL.
She studied Classical Civilisation in university. A HUGE part of studying Classical Civilisation, I know this cause I have studied it myself, is learning about the beliefs of ancient cultures, stories, myths, legends, their customs the lot. There is a large focus on their uses of FICTION.
And the most she did? She took some names from mythological characters.

I just don't like it's fully based on witchcraft. I've always thought it was stuff J.K. Rowling made up, but she actually used witch books to write Harry Potter.

You don't need proof to believe in something.
Have you ever heard the song Unanswered Prayer By Garth Brookes? God can't always help you with your prayers because you need to overcome some challenges on your own, but he does offer guidiance. Your put on earth to basically prove yourself to God before going to his kingdom.
I believe in God because I know someone is watching out for me, and I know he loves me. Everything about God is awesome, and the bible does explain why things happen.

She used her knowledge of classics and ancient cultures for the odd name or two, and used latin for the name of some spells, but there is no "actual" witchcraft present.
Seriously, these books are not bad. How can books that have taught millions of kids to enjoy reading be bad? How can books that have given people across the world joy and cause no harm to the world be bad? Because some programme said she used a witch book?

I've read the books for 6 years, and watched the movies for 8. I saw Sorcerer's Stone in theaters.

But it all came out of her head, whilst sat on a train, and in a cafe, writing on the back of napkins. The idea of Harry Potter started when she was sat on a train. Just like the Hogwarts Express. THAT'S where it came from.
