Identity of Batman’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ weapon revealed
Fans have been speculating as to what kind of new weapon Batman had in The Dark Knight Rises ever since we saw it on the cover of Empire magazine. Now, thanks to some new toys, we have an answer! It’s an “EMP blaster”, capable of shooting an electromagnetic pulse that will disable most electronic devices within its range. Too expensive for the Army? Perhaps. It’ll be interesting to see how Batman uses it in The Dark Knight Rises. There are quick shots of Batman with the device in the trailers, including trailer #3 which came out earlier this week. Check out two photos of the new toy in the gallery below, and let me know how you think Batman will use his new gadget in The Dark Knight Rises.
This is truly the film of the year, unfortunately everybody is getting lost in Avengers hype and some geeks keep going on about that boring as fuck Hobbit movie.... Thank you Nolan for delivering the only one that matters.
"If you make yourself more than just a man... If you devote yourself to an ideal... You become something else entirely- A Legend."
Well, I can certainly appreciate how hard it is to read. It took me ages to actually sit down and give it a read. But, Jackson did brilliantly with LOTR; I can assure you that he will do the same with The Hobbit.
It's much like a bible. In order to read it, you have to attach yourself to what it is. You couldn't just sit down with a cup of coffee and start reading it.
Shit guys I loved the films lol when Decemer gets here I'll definitely be in Hobbit mode. Nolan and Jackson both, believe it or not, do the same thing in one respect that I love- they turn something fantasy and forge it into something so serious it feels real. I always appreciated LOTR films for not taking the goofy way out and sticking to the hardcore serious guns even with the hilariously nerdy concept.
That being said im a nerd anyway

Speaking of the Joker, just in case anyone hadn't seen this here is a behind the scenes on the clown masks...also, this features a former Potter Costume Designer ;) haha. At least she got to finish the Batman trilogy and created some phenomenal costumes.
It's getting a little annoying. -_- The trailer was enough to whet my appetite, but personally all this summer movie rage with little to no spotlight on TDKR is annoying me. They need so start the aggressive marketing campaign. NOW. By this time last year, Part 2 was already getting into high gear with a few new tv spots and posters.

2:00 in he talks about how he plays "Henri Ducard" hahahaha
So yes they end up lying all the time lolol Neeson explains the hidden backstory of Ducard, which made me giggle. Nolan really trains his actors to know what they should tell people in interviews bahahaha
As for the picture of Marion above...there is no doubt it is Talia. I am positive of it. Nolan has Bane, his mercenaries and the league of shadows in this film...it all adds together and also that costume.
These are just some of the looks of Talia al Ghul. They seem to match in perfectly with the wardrobe created by the DC comics, as well as the dress she wears when talking to Bruce in the second trailer, she also wears this before her reveal in the books, then she wears a more League of Shadows influenced costume. She may have said in that interview shes not, but I am definitely not convinced.
Talia = hottest piece of ass in the Batman universe
Marion Cotillard = perfect casting choice
Fully agreed. She's beautiful. I feel that the mesh they have built with Talia-Bane-Catwoman as main players along with Batman are perfect. I still have my fingers crossed for a Scarecrow cameo/death scene/something/mention. lol Joker will have to be mentioned, he was far too big of a part of TDK to not be mentioned. As for a cameo scene with something with his back turned and a laugh or something in Arkham? We may never know lol.
I also have high hopes for a shot of Mr. Zsasz which is highly unprobable, but still why not tie it in with BB. Nolan to put him in there as an Easter Egg made me on happy little Batnerd. hahaha
Victor Zsasz ( /ˈʒæz/ or /ˈzæz/) is a fictional character, a supervillain who appears in comic books published by DC Comics and was usually an enemy of Batman. He is a serial killer[1] who usually kills with a knife and carves a tally mark somewhere on himself for every victim.
He is in trial with Dr. Crane and then in the end when Arkham is broken into...
as for his current whereabouts, he is currently in Arkham Asylum ;)
...
As seen in this early set photo from TDKR haha
So who knows. He may pop up in another cameo role. :D
Johnny Depp, Tim Burton and Michelle Pfeiffer were minding their own business, which happened to be promoting the Burton-directed Dark Shadows, when the subject of Catwoman came up recently.
Pfeiffer played the feline Batman villain in Burton’s Batman Returns back in 1992. She received fairly good notices for the performance, too.
Naturally inquiring minds asked about Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming The Dark Knight Rises during the Dark Shadows press conference.
Not surprisingly, this irritated Burton a little, so he pretended to be an instigator.
“Comment on something you haven’t seen,” he says to Pfeiffer.
“Exactly,” she responds.
“Make some kind of derogatory comment that shows you versus somebody else,” he teases. “You know, cat fight.”
Instead, Pfeiffer is all diplomacy. “I love Anne Hathaway,” she says. ”I’m a huge fan. You know, the nature of all of these characters is they’re played by different people all the time.”
Burton groans a little: “That was beautiful.”
“So there,” concludes Pfeiffer. ”No, I think she’s great. I think she’s going to be awesome.”
Depp, who enjoys a put-on when it’s available to him, couldn’t resist having his say on the Catwoman subject a little later.
“I was thinking of throwing my name into the ring for Catwoman,” says Depp smirking. “Anne Hathaway, damn it.”
“Thank you, Johnny,” says Pfeiffer, pretending to be disappointed that he brought up the subject again.
Dark Shadows opens May 11. The Dark Knight Rises is in theatres July 20. Stay tuned for Hathaway’s response.
Funnily enough Burton makes me groan all the time.
lol he can be one rude dude. In fact, Check this out if you havent already lol It made me roll my eyes. Damn that Burton...
This first bit is one of the funniest Hollywood stories of all time, the second is what came from that and a feud between Kevin Smith and Burton hahaha. It's long but so worth the watch hahaha
