The movie has a plot: something something tesseract, Loki's a bad guy, AVENGERS ASSEMBLE, SHIELD lied and is actually using tesseract blah blah to make weapons, Avengers DISASSEMBLE for a bit then ACTION ACTION then they REASSEMBLE then Transformers 3 copy/paste action scene ROLL CREDITS

What the movie doesn't have is a story.

The tesseract has the power to destroy humanity and the EVIL ALIENS want it to control the other realms and Loki wants earth so he makes a deal with the EVIL ALIENS and now he goes to Earth where the tesseract is to get it for the EVIL ALIENS and therefore, the Avengers MUST assemble in order to stop Loki from causing war into Earth because Loki wants vengeance first.

Thats basically the story or plot lol I just dont think its very good. There couldve been sooo much more.

omg I am getting fucking ripped apart on FB, this shit is amazing. I love it because I troll and bait, and my other nerd friends overreact to the point of hilarity and embarrassment.

What happens is that I let this shit go down, and then some of my OTHER friends message me telling me how pathetic I make them all look. And it's true. I said something like "I can't wait for other movies to come out this year with a better plot" and one of my friends like... I don't know, he flipped his shit because he thought I was somehow being rude to him.

Anyway, best part of the movie is the tracking shot between all of the Avengers as they're kicking ass because the music was amazing. I loved that part. Too bad it was like 20 seconds out of a 2+ hour movie.

Also speaking of, the movie was way too fuckin long.

@Bane, if you want to avoid those outbursts from friends in the future, start saying what you agree on because it's much easier to get someone to listen to you and even being influenced by you if they think you are like them. For instance, I said to a friend, "I agree, it was a fun movie and it was very actionpacked, and that's in a way its weakness as well." Then I went on explaining that it lacked suspense because all the heroes were flawless, they seemingly couldn't die, you never feared for their lives and that you always knew that they would somehow make it just in time like any other predictable action movie. He ended up agreeing to some point actually.

As far as being a man in his late 20's during a workday, you're absolutely right. I am currently unemployed because I am about to move out of state so that my girlfriend can begin pharmacy school. I am also waiting for some smaller producers to fund a screenplay that I co-wrote; they had a meeting yesterday and the director and I are waiting to hear back from them. So yes, you're right, for the time being I have nothing else better to do. I do need to hit the gym in a few minutes though.

IMO identifying problems is a lot more productive than just accepting everything that is handed out but I digress. Sorry but it works both ways. I suppose I'll just have to stop posting until Prometheus comes out, because between now and then we're getting Men in Black 3 and Dark Shadows and I doubt those will go over very well.
