@Marie_Annette - Marie!! :) How has it been in Romania? I heard its bitterly cold there, like -32 degrees? And people have died? :O How are you coping with all that? It must be terrible. :(
I'm fine, I haven't been outside at all, lol :)) well, -32 was in only one town in one day. it's gotten a tad warmer now. I saw it's really snowy in Sarajevo ;O
Oh good then. I am relieved. :) If news about Romanian weather starts coming on local Indian news channel, you know something is definitely not right. :)) Which prompted me to take a closer look and that's how I got to know.
How did you find Lola's @TubbyToast pictures. Nice, aren't they? :)
oh thanks @aaron! totally forgot I posted in this thread... why aren't @Abhi and @Marie_Anette showing off their photos, huh?! Marie are you still ok with the cold and all?
I'm thinking about posting my home made cakes later today, since it's photography and other hobbies yummy
Abhi, I've got to say, you did it again buddy! Geeeeeeeeez. Really. It almost hurts to say the one with the birds is my absolute favorite. They are all so sophisticatedly wow! The one with the mirroring water is gorgeous of course and I love for example the contrast in the photo with the camels. The last one is so greatly shot! The layers are so clear and again, so sophisticated!
@Jason - Thank you. :) @aaron - Tricks of the trade my friend. Its all about getting the ISO settings and exposure right. And playing with the available light as well the flash. :) BTW the red tones in the first one that you liked have been digitally enhanced a bit to give that dramatic, foreboding look. @muggle - Thank you. :) @Marie_Anette - I love travelling to newer and unexplored places!! Not my fault that I get lucky with regards to clicking good pictures. ;) @TubbyToast - :x
OK gang some more pictures.
I have recently started to take more panoramic pictures. You can probably notice some examples above. Here is another one. So calm and serene. Makes me happy for some reason just looking at it. :)
Nothing special really, but I particularly like the birds captured in this photograph, making their way to their nests as evening begins to fall.
Anyone who has seen most of my pictures on this thread would agree with me when I say that I like capturing clouds. I like the overall feel of this particular image, with the sun shining at the top left corner with shades of black interspersed in other places and the brilliant white clouds taking the majority of the space.
Here is another one.
Not very fond of clicking flowers (that may seen a bit odd considering that I LOVE panoramic shots of lush green landscapes and nature in general :P ), but for those who do like flowers, here is one for you peoples:
Now this one here. I very much love the richness of hues depicted in this one, what with the soft golden tint spread throughout the photograph with other natural shades that make it look warm and inherently likeable.
Finishing off with an abstract photograph. (Again not my cup of tea, but whatever lol)
@Marie - I love the first photo, what an amazing shot! The one of the cat is a favourite too, so lovable!
@Abhi - Your pictures don't show on my ipod rightnow, but I saw them earlier and I especially remember the last one (which you described as abstract) and I was absolutely wow'ed by it (:
Yeah I puff a smoke here and there but I can't stand the smell of someone that smokes all the time D: it'd be cool if you could smoke with no consequences :))
So the following pictures are from a trip to Badami, an ancient city famous for its complex rock formations and cave temples (plus the architecture to go with it), all nestled in the midst of a lush green environment surrounding a beautiful emerald green lake.

EDIT - @Marie_Annette
it was probably on the news because it was colder here than at the south pole :))

and thank you @TubbyToast ! :D people smoking in black and white look good for some reason :))
Although I loath smoking, I have to admit it makes pictures look so absolutely classy.
I unfortunately can not see your photo (the one with you in it)
it'd be cool if you could smoke with no consequences :))
Ah, I can see your picture now. Nice nice shot, Marie! What hair colour do you have these days anyway?
You can read more about it here:

@Abhi That place is so pretty! And seriously, those look like pictures from a magazine :))
