@Marie those are amazing! So peaceful. Think the first one is my favourite but I agree with Abhi too.

@Abhi is that a drawing?! Pretty nice. Can't really see it well since I'm on my iPod but I'll look it up in the morning.
Thats the point of it. Its a charcoal sketch. It is supposed to look a little hazy. :D Yes it is a drawing.
I know :) I loved charcoal as a kid, should do it more often now!
And I knew it was a drawing because you said so but I was like WOW THAT?!
My iPod does make it hard to see because I can't look at it in one piece.

OK I found some pics which I was looking for to post here...These are from a trekking trip to Ukheemath. The main attraction was snow, the huge mountains surrounding us and an altitude > 4500m. The breathing was difficult but the experience was amazing. :)

    View of the Valley.

Wow, India is really beautiful. When I went we went to mostly urban places (New Delhi and Jaipur) but we did see the Aagrah Fort and the Taj Mahal, it was stunning. And I'm returning in DECEMBER!

Aaron do try and visit the "less visited" places. And you are welcome to have me or Slant as your guide lol.
Wow you went to Agra??? ( its Agra not Aagra :) ) Super. :D And how did you like the charcoal one?
Lol, okay, that's what I thought but then I typed it in and it suggested Aagrah...oh well. I loved the charcoal drawing, I'll keep your suggestions in mind. :)

Wow...Marie and Abhi, you guys take some amazing flippin' pictures :o
Really, really good. You guys should try to get them published or something?

And Log, your wife's pictures are beautiful. She's got to be mainly a family photographer then, right? Those are the money shots us mommy's are always looking for! :)

@Popkin it's really hard to actually get published :/ I've signet up for contests and such, but there's always people with super fancy cameras and super fancy lenses and lots of practice -_- and yyeah you don't really stand a chance against them lol

Well crap...how's a foo supposed to get published then? :-/
Don't give up, though, you guys have really got something. You can only get better...

Plus, I've seen some bitches with some pretty fancy cameras, but they can't do jack with them because they have NO TALENT. Even a digicam beats their stuff down if the person has talent.

thanks :] I don't want to do photography as a main profession though.. maybe just a bit of a money making hobby :))

and oh yeah definitely, there's tons of people with great cameras that can't do shit :| they make me so maaaad! they just buy them to look fancy walking around town :|

How are you now ??? And I am sorry, I kind of let slip that you were not well, after you sent me your reply, and Aaron asked me to PM him ( followed by Richard), so I had to share it with them.

Not an issue, these guys are like family. I don't mind them knowing about it. And you're welcome (:

Oh awesome! And hey, you don't have to have a definite idea, that's what you're there for - to see what you like. Good luck to you in whatever you do choose! If it's artsy, I'm sure you'll be great at it ;)

I am starting as an Associate Network Engineer with CISCO Systems in about a week Pops. Photography is just a hobby. Same with writing Diaries and poems. Though I admit it has kind of become something which I certainly cant live without. :)
Well maybe Marie can seriously think of it if she wants to. Because everybody here would attest to the fact that SHE IS AWESOME. Much better than me. And so is StarPhoenix; and Log's wife is a professional so that's that.

  • I love Starphoenix's most I think... (No offense to anyone lol)
I'll post some of mine later today, I really love photography too. I was pretty active when I was 14-16 but now (17) I'm experimenting with film a lot more. Making documentaries and stuff.

Thanks! I really appreciate it! I'll post some more up later, too tired atm cause I've been up all night working!

And sometimes it's better to just love your hobby, I guess :)

Thank you. :) Yes I am a technical guy. Did graduation and post graduation.... or rather as it is said outside of India, majored in Electrical Engineering with my Minor Area in Computer Science & Engineering, so its kind of obvious that I would have chosen a technical job. And yes, sometimes, hobby is better left as a hobby, unless you have some serious talent or are seriously thinking about making a career in it. Also,in India, it is tough to go off the beaten path and choose "non technical fields or a non-academic career" . People would stare at you ( at least in the non metropolitan cities) if you say you are into film-making or painting or dancing or work at a cinema or are going into the armed forces etc etc.(though things are changing slowly). Its mainly about Engineering, IT, Medicine or technical research or Government Administrative Jobs, Journalism etc.

    Thanks guys:)

I'd written this really cheesy line, kind of like the thing I keep in my prayers, when I was a kid.

"There are realms yet to be discovered, emotions yet to be felt. A dream, my dream, is yet to be fulfilled. The Oscar, gentlemen, is still up for grabs."

She loves newborns the most but she does children of all ages, engagement, weddings, maternity.

Here are a couple of examples. She has her own style but I feel like she has a lot of range. She really could, imo, be a photographer for anything.

Thanks, I turned eighteen a few months ago. I have a very long way to go, haha. I'm working on a short film right now. Its basically not the usual popcorn entertainment kinds and more theme-based cinema. I also have a dream project which revolves around the fantasy genre, a little similar to the Harry Potter series.
