Richard, do you not have a response to my posts addressing your complaints?
what... where?
Hye I seen them all so you can say what you want lolol, but yeah the trilogy isnt as bad as I thought its actually good, but it is very overrated IMO. I mean id say rotk is the only true epic one. The battles are breathtaking indeed.
A 5.5/10 isn't good by any stretch. That's a score that screams something is abysmal.
I've only read Fellowship Of The Ring and I understand all of the films perfectly.
Ok so you why can the ghosts attack us but we cant attack them? Why in the end of rotk they go to a ship to "move on"? Where do they go? Oh and in the theatrical Sauromon completely dissapears from the films, we dont see what happens to him. Also in Two Towers pipin and merry travel with the ents for more than an hour Id say practically the whole movie. I wont question the ents though, Theyre just a race in my head lolol
I've never read the books and even I know that the ship takes them away from Middle Earth. Hell, in the The Two Towers it's pointed out that motherfucking
Arwen is leaving Middle Earth. There's an example of talking being important. But you were bothered by it.
I'll give you the ghosts thing. It's the perfect definition of a deus ex machina.
Saruman wasn't in King because Jackson cut him out. He's present in the extended edition.
Edit: Christ, dude. Everything is explained about the ship taking them home.
GALADRIEL
The power of the Three Rings is ended. The time has come for the Dominion of Men.
ELROND
(ELVISH: with subtitles) I Aear can vên na mar. The Sea calls us home.
It's that simple. Pay attention next time.

So Crucify the ego, before it's far too late, to leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical. And you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable.
This time around they'll have a much better idea of what to shoot and not. Every.single.scene.
While with LOTR, and it being such a massive production, many things were shot because they had forgot doing it earlier, or they felt they need some more etc, thus there was much footage cut.
I imagine they'll make an extended edition for both Hobbit parts, but likely less footage. So while we got around 80 minutes of extra LOTR we might get 30 minutes of extra Hobbit.
Well The Hobbit is under WB now. I read somewhere that this doesn't bode well for people wishing for extended editons/special features as good as LotR's.
Mirkwood scenes and Gollum's cave look incredible from what we have been seeing from the set reports. I haven't read the book myself, but I'm extremely pumped. I hope it turns out just as good as Lord of the Rings was.
I have not read 'The Hobbit' either, and I am only about halfway through Fellowship of the Rings.
I'd like to buy 'The Hobbit' to go with the LOTR trilogy set I have. And I can't decide whether to read it before or after seeing the film.
Nothing new but: Return to Middle-earth on Tuesday, December 20th, with the worldwide debut of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" announcement trailer at 7pm PST!
No if the trailer is released at 7pm Atlanta, GA time then California will be getting it at 4pm. I read an article promising 4pm then noted it was out of Los Angeles.
"If you make yourself more than just a man... If you devote yourself to an ideal... You become something else entirely- A Legend."

:o If that's true, then I won't miss it tonight! That should be 5pm my time. Yay!!
RELAX, this is the teaser trailer for Lord of the Rings... I just wanted to post it to get everyone HYPE and to remember why everyone is excited for more RANGS

Several of those shots weren't even in the Extended Editions.
I remember seeing that trailer on the fellowship DVD. The music at the end is so haunting to me....its like travelling ck to how i felt when i saw 'two towers....christmas 2002' and 'Return of the king...christmas 2003'.
I remember thinking i still had two years to enjoy the saga, and return of the king felt SOOOO FAR in the future, i couldnt imagine what spectacle awaited me.
