OMFG....this looks fantastic. Every single piece of camerawork, art, whatever, it's all breakthrough. It sounds like it's going to be the single most immersive film of all time. I cannot fucking wait, truthfully. Mirkwood looks amazing! I hope we get a trailer soon.

Ditto hehe. I got a free pair with Banksy's Exit with the Gift Shop so I stuck them on and looked. I may try doing some 3D drawings in the future, it might look nice :D

Yep pretty much. Also Jackson, like Yates, is probably more about the depth/immersion rather than "shit flying out of the screen"-- which is gimmicky, but films like Avatar and Part 2 showed me that when done right it ACTUALLY CAN make for a superior viewing experience.

Part 2's 3D was so exceptional that after I saw it I found myself actually wanting a 3DTV.

the trick with the storyboard really works but not with the cinema glasses you will need your old cardboard spy kids 3D glasses only peter jackson could mae a 10 min sneak peek at the making of a film so frekaing epic!

EDIT: it works OK with the theater glasses but older cardboard ones bring it out a little better

Peter Jackson wouldn't be making these movies in 3D if he knew it would look bad. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of 3D either, but Avatar was filmed in 3D and it looked great. Really adds depth to the movie.
