Okay everyone, lets gear up and have this read by Thursday of Friday night? Could we do a once a week due date where we begin talking about the next chapter? What is everyones thought on this here?

If you'd like, surely.chester said:I'm in too. But i won't post my review of the first chapter till next week. I have exams right now. Are we going to use a standard layout for our little reviews?
My idea of a layout:
"
The good:
(say what you liked in this chapter)
The bad:
(say what you didn't like in this chapter)
Overall:
(What did you think of this Chapter)
Trivia:
(Post trivia about this chapter here)
Movie-version:
(What do you think about the movie-adaption of this chapter/scene?)
"
Is this a good layout for you guys?
This is effective because we instantly imagine a stuck-up middle-class family who like to keep to themselves:Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.

*broken by Aberforth Dumbledore.Nothing like this man had ever been seen in Privet Drive. He was tall, thin and very old, judging by the silver of his hair and beard, which were both long enough to tuck into his belt. He was wearing long robes, a purple cloak which swept the ground and high-heeled, buckled boots. His blue eyes were light, bright and sparkling behind half-moon spectacles and his nose was very long and broken, as though it had been broken at least twice*. This man's name was Albus Dumbledore.

"Fancy seeing you here, Professor McGonagall"

"You think it - wise - to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?"

"Good luck, Harry."

Yep, I agree with you, but on the other hand, I believe that if a person doesn't have a great will to read the first chapters have to be really good. I love to read and sometimes I just want to stop reading a book, but I don't because I know that if I keep reading it, it can lead to a wonderful and awesome journey!TheDoctor said:I hate it when people are all "i tried to read harry potter but i was like 5 pages in and it was boring". I agree that the first chapter isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but I never find the first few chapters in any books that good because you're still getting a taste for the plot/characters.
