I'm neither supporting nor defending here, but there's no universal way to externalize something as conflicting and all-consuming as grief. I've never had the experience of having to see my brother die in a battle, and I'm betting that neither have many of you either. It's just as credible to blankly regard death as it is to be hysterical over it - from the screencap here, Ginny certainly looks credibly petrified and just a little hollow-eyed. I've certainly seen reactions to death that are in the same ballpark.
The scene, the moment, the acting, is only as good as you direct it. Thats not a stab at David Yates, I am very fond of him, but Bonnie is more than capable.
