Isn't someone else already doing that? Besides, as bad as she is as an actress, this isn't what i tend to look at when i think of how bad she is. After all... Arthur is also just standing there, like her.

I'm neither supporting nor defending here, but there's no universal way to externalize something as conflicting and all-consuming as grief. I've never had the experience of having to see my brother die in a battle, and I'm betting that neither have many of you either. It's just as credible to blankly regard death as it is to be hysterical over it - from the screencap here, Ginny certainly looks credibly petrified and just a little hollow-eyed. I've certainly seen reactions to death that are in the same ballpark.

I recently had to go through this with my grandpa, and at times... i was beyond crying.

Nah I'm pretty sure that it's because she doesn't know how to display emotion. If, in the other films, or even earlier scenes in this film had proven otherwise, I might give her the benefit of the doubt as you have, but... yeah I'm thinking it's because she can't actually act.

The thing is, Mark Williams is also doing that "bewildered" thing, only much more efficiently and realistically than Bonnie. Mark looks over at Daniel, kind of balls his fists up and then looks back down at the ground. That's acting. That's nuance. Bonnie's performance is about as nuanced as the guy who played Blaise Zabini.

I have no problem with Yates here. Everything is great-- except Bonnie. That's not his fault. I don't think Christopher Jesus Nolan could get a good performance out of Bonnie.

Then again, he can't get a good performance out of Bale either.

When you get the close up of Ron crying over Fred's body, you can actually see Ginny going over to Hermione, hugging her in the background which I think happened in the book as well?

Besides, she has confirmed that she's going to act and direct in her own short film. And to be one of the main actresses in the Pride and Prejudice spinoff, In Want Of A Wife.

Also, there's no close up to Bonnie's face, we can't see if she's in shock or she has a blank look in her face. But yeah that she hugs Hermione. And I don't think you saw her in other of her proyects, like Stranded, Agatha Christie and her cameo in the TV cartoon The Replacements.
