I'm a little upset by this whole choosing another director thing for the Mockingjay films, it's like they have no trust in Francis Lawrence to do justice to the 2 Mockingjay films, especially saying it before he's even started. No motivation for him at all now. It's like they're saying here's a great book we'd like you to adapt but we're not really interested in what new things you will bring to this series because we're going to look for another director to take on the last 2 films.

I think his paycheck is motivation enough. And even though he doesn't get the opportunity to do more than one film, why should that mean he wouldn't care about making his film rock? No director wants to make a bad movie and be known as the guy that fucked everything up. He signed up for only one film, remember, and was probably aware that he might not direct the last two installments.

Guys, I have rewatched Sucker Punch couple of days ago. I would be really happy if Jena Malone is chosen as Johanna. She has a great dramatic timing and she looks so natural. It would be a nice choice indeed. :D

The Hunger Games has picked up 9 Teen Choice awards. These include Choice Book, Choice Movie Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Choice Movie Actress (Jen), Choice Movie Actor (Josh), Choice Male Scene Stealer (Liam), Choice Villian (Alex), Choice Liplock (Josh & Jen), Choice Movie Chemistry (Jen & Amanda) and Choice Single By A Female Artist (Taylor Swift).

In other news, Lionsgate have apparently informed a source that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will not be filmed in Kauai.

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will not be filmed on Kauai as mentioned here last week. Christina Gizoni, a Lionsgate representative, said in an email: “While we have not yet released the filming locations, Kauai will not be one of them.” Further comment was not forthcoming. Mea culpa. …

Yes, the filmmakers did scout Hawaii locations, prompting buzz online and in blogs since June about Kauai. But it’s a no-go.
