    • Map of Hogwarts and the areas surrounding it – Full color 24” x 36” map of Hogwarts printed on fabric

Year 1 – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
    image

Disc 1 (on bluray) will feature:
-The theatrical version of the movie
-The extended version of the movie (extended with 7 minutes)
-A Picture-in-Picture video commentary with director Chris Columbus

Disc 2 will feature the theatrical version on dvd

Disc 3 (on dvd) will feature the following special features (which are the old special features):
-Capturing the Stone: A Conversation with the Filmmakers (16 minutes): Columbus, screenwriter Steve Klove, and other crew members discuss their adaptation, the production, and the decisions they made along the way.
-Diagon Alley: A interactive Hogwarts tour of sorts that requires users to solve a lengthy series of puzzles (in a specific order no less). Younger entrants might enjoy this cumbersome addition, but I found it to be both grating and time-consuming.
-Classrooms: Mix a potion and cast a spell, but only after visiting other features elsewhere on the disc. Sigh.
-Library: Scour several books in the library to uncover concept art and other images from the film's production.
-Sorting Hat: A brief overview of Hogwarts' houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.
-Hogwarts Grounds: Interactive activities (like Catch-a-Snitch and Pick-a-Jelly-Bean) that use film clips and artwork to explore the game of Quidditch, Hagrid's Hut, and more.
-Interactive Tour: Walk through Hogwarts while being reminded of the events that occurred in each room. Arrow keys appear at certain points, giving users the ability to choose their path.

Disc 4 (on bluray) will contain the following special features (the new UE ones):
-Introduction by Daniel Radcliffe (2 minutes): Daniel Radcliffe delivers a spirited introduction to The Sorcerer's Stone in which he promises hardcore Potter fans they'll learn a few new things about the Potter films and their creation.
-A Glimpse Into the World of Harry Potter (9 minutes): A TV-special
-Additional Footage (10 minutes): Seven deleted scenes
-Trailers and TV Spots (15 minutes): A teaser, two theatrical trailers, and a whopping fifteen television commercials

Gonna pre-order it within the next 3 weeks. Can't wait to own this set. I don't own any of the Ultimate editions yet but i've seen the 6 documentaries last year. WB probably won't release any new deleted scenes until the 25th anniversary edition or something.

French release date have changed no more September 7th but September 19th

WB told that on the 63,000 copies 30,000 or 35, 000 are for US
They also said that "less robust, more cost-effective version" set of the eight-film Harry Potter series will become available from Warner Bros once all 63,000 sets of the 31-disc Harry Potter Wizard's Collection have been sold out. "

With other words: they will release a cheaper set with the same content minus the collectibles.

They're releasing it in Brazil, that's great but I bet it'll cost like $700

Jeff Baker: In order to make an event out of it and to make it special for people to want to step up and buy it and commit to the type of investment that was required, we felt that it didn’t make sense just to make some ungodly number and sell it forever. We wanted to make it a special one-time purchase opportunity.

Over the years, we have specifically aggregated and accumulated some footage that we’ve never released that’s part of the individual film releases, knowing that our plan and intention was to ultimately release it one day in a huge comprehensive box.

Clearly it’s for somebody who likes the whole notion of the complete repository of everything that ever existed on ‘Harry Potter’ — that, frankly, is ever going to be released on ‘Harry Potter,’ as far as I’m concerned.

This is the definitive collection with everything in it. This is about as good as it’s going to get.

Err...to be perfectly honest, I still can't see them coming out with another box set for a good few years at least, either until they decide to release extended versions or if they release 3D blu-rays. I think this is about as good as it's going to get.

Do you think they will ever release the deleted scenes we've never seen?

A new clip has been released, it's about the departure of Colombus. It contains some new BTS-footage (0:00-0:15):

Fuck the wizard collection, I want the complete scores of all the eight movies. The only one that got leaked it's SS and WB is much more willing to keep milking the franchise with the soundtracks than with deleted scenes.

Wait until 4k comes to home video. They'll release another set.

I got to figuring things out...the price figures out to only $11 for each disc, about what you'd normally pay. So that makes all the props free :-?

$11 for a DVD is inexcusable.

8 dvd copies of the movies, and the 4 old special features. I agree with the 8 dvd copies, but if they didn't include the 4 old special features dvds, people would be complaining about "not all the old special features were inserted". I know the old special features were included in the regular bluray releases but they didn't include those little games. That's why they included the old dvds, so they could insert the games and people wouldn't complain about it.

Hey, guys! Coming around here after a while. Don't even know if there's still people here who I know.

Anyway, wanted to stop around to give you a tip. Amazon UK is offering the collection for a more affordable price. If you go check, they are offering for £177.99, which if you take it to US dollars, it's about $279.

But the interesting thing is this: I decided to order it from now, so I placed my pre-order and, seriously, UNEXPLAINABLY they charged me only £148.33. I don't know why, the price appeared at the £177.90 price tag, but then in the order summary, the other sum just showed up. I finished the pre-order, got the confirmation and, yep, they gave me that price. Here's a screencap if you don't believe me:

    image

Anyway, you can try to pre-order it. You can always cancel it before it ships.

BUT, take this into consideration: the DVD are supposed to be coded Region 2, which means they are only playable on European DVD players. And I said "supposed" because I have been reading a lot around the internet, and many people agree on the fact that it's been a few years now since Warner Bros. UK stopped coding its DVDs for Region 2 only (This including the HP DVDs). They are still tagged as being Region 2, they are still PROMOTING them as Region 2 and warning you they are only playable in Europe, but if you take them and try to reproduce them in an American DVD player, they actually work.

I'm telling you that's what I've read, I haven't checked it by myself, but I'm gonna just try my chance. I decided that, even if I can't use the DVDs in the collection, there's nothing new on them and, of course, I already own all the DVDs from the individual releases.

Well, this is what I wanted to share. Hope it helps someone.

Oh, all the Blu-rays are region free. It's explicitly stated on the Amazon UK product description.

I hope a bigger version will be released. Really must know the subtitles.

Also, a clip was released of the "The Harry Potters You Never Met" special feature:
