I'm going to college full-time and working nearly full-time. I always have tried to make time for this forum for over 2 years. I came to talk about Harry Potter and relax after a long day. There isn't much of either lately. I am going to take a hiatus while I am adjusting to college. I'm with @LordStafford and @Pumpkinjuice, I don't understand how people can disagree/flag/off-topic certain posts. Seeing some of the things people have marked are pathetic.
Eg. "I like apples." _______ disagrees with your post. "WTF BITCH I'M NOT LYING ABOUT LIKING APPLES!" ______ off-topic'd your post in the Food Thread. "BITCH I'M TALKIN' ABOUT APPLES IN A FOOD THREAD!"
"Today I went and saw TDKR again" ______ disagrees with your post. "Uhh. I'm pretty sure I went!"August 2012-
Lord StaffordOh, they've stopped. But it was clear that they were all teaming up to do it. I had 7 disagrees on one post, where it wasn't even something that could be disagreed with. I'd consider that trolling, which is a bannable offense. I don't want anyone to get banned over this; however, if it were to continue... I'd certainly consider.

aaronI can understand it in threads, but I don't understand how someone can flag a thread under Activity as Off Topic. That simply doesn't make sense.

SarahElizabeth!Wow, oh the irony! I understand that some people joke, Richard's "everyone hates me thread" being an example, which is fine, but some people just don't make sense and are not joking. I just got 2 disagrees and a flag for this. I wouldn't care if it was genuinely something that was off topic or something to disagree with. I don't think people realize that if someone gets too many flags, it can be punished. I got off-topic'd about bringing up something HP related once! Lmao, of all places in a Harry Potter Forum. Someone said that Bane was a loser and he should go away and die and like 6 people agreed/lol'd. That's abusing the buttons. He actually left after that.

SarahElizabeth!I like the buttons and approve of most of its use, I just don't want to see it become a passive-aggressive way of making a point and taking anger out on someone using buttons.

Potter35I do not use these buttons much maybe because I am always coming online from my phone but I would say If we have these good buttons that does not mean you can misuse them by using the disagreeing,flag and off topic buttons.This can get someone into trouble. Come on guys why are u doing this? This is no fun,Its just troubling your fellows thats all. -

HenrickGuys. One thing that I learned this past months: There's life outside the forum and some people take this place faaar too seriously (I used to, by the way. Not anymore)

Lord StaffordI only take that seriously, when people are abusing others, and using things to "troll" the other person, possibly hoping to eventually have them banned, since the "troll" will always be the person getting away with it, while the victim is being punished. Other than all that, I don't take this place as seriously as some may think.

PumpkinjuiceI think that's a good thing as I consider ignoring someone the definition of cowardice and arrogance. I mean, rather than tell someone you are not interested in them you ignore them. Where's the dignity and respect in that? Unless of course you're dealing with a creepy/annoying stalker or you have already told the person in question you don't want contact, ignoring someone is mean towards the other person's feelings.

Show yourself you ignorant fool and press the off topic button on this post of mine instead as THIS is what's off-topic to the topic she raised. That said, admittedly I would have liked an "off topic" button on Facebook because people write so much meaningless shit on there that's it beyond me how anyone could actually care to read through it all.

One guy from Saudia Arabia told me he wanted to get to know me so our friendship could be a relationship that could progress into a marriage. He mentioned that he'd never been to America and would love to come to meet me. That was legitimately the first thing he EVER said to me. I had never seen his name before in my life, yet he sent me a message. As the meme says, "Well that escalated quickly!"
