Just saw catching fire, still processing it. As of now I'd give it 3/5 stars. Some shots where brilliant, but as a whole, kind of lackluster. Kind of felt like they were trying to fit too much into one film... anyways, thoughts?
So, I know you're all jealous. My university is having a "harry potter themed feast" this weekend in a room in our library called "the great room" (Yes, named after it's "resemblance" to the great hall portrayed in the films.)
Dude, it really was. I was impressed, as most Roasts have become kind of stagnant. I missed a few comedians though - Bill Hader was the one I wanted to see most, I bet he was great. Jonah Hill was surprisingly hilarious. They all were really.
Hill was great, although I knew he was going to be. Same with Hader, Silverman, etc. Aziz Ansari really surprised me, I thought he was fucking great and handled all of the roasts thrown at him well. :P The only person I was slightly let down by was Samberg; his bit was original, but wasn't quite as funny as the traditional roasters. Natasha Leggero and Jeff Ross were both surprising too and very funny.
One car followed by a police car with the sirens blaring, drove through the parking lot going like 20mph, and at first I thoguht they were just gonna pull over, but THEN the car was like "lulz jk bro, and drove off going like 60mph. A few seconds after they disappeared, another cop came hauling ass chasing them.
i just finished it and yeah I thought so. I really enjoyed it and will probably start the second one tonight. I was expecting it to be boring/drag a lot, but it really wasn't either of those things. the characters are good and the world building is fantastic
It looks like it definitely could be poopy. The CGI looks horrendous even in the new trailers when it comes to the bodies moving and the human based movement. The story could end up being pretty generic too, from what Ive read its like 28 Days Later meets 2012 lol. Still, you never know. It's tough to prejudge without seeing it.
