LoyalWeasley18Watched DH 1 and 2 back to back, and see a major difference between the two films, they seem like they can stand on their own. Part 1 just deals with the journey and Part 2 was the battle. To me they felt like two different films.November 2011

HarryJamesPotterI partly agree with that. I think they can stand on their own, but I also think that the beginning of Part 2 up until Hogsmeade feels like Part 1, but after Hogsmeade when they get to Hogwarts it feels like a completely different film. -
RowlingintheDeepWell, that's exactly how the book is. Go read the book up until Shell Cottage, then read after that. It'll feel very different. -
RowlingintheDeepAnyways, the flow between the two is so seamless, it feels like one movie. Part 2 just feels like the 3rd act of the long movie, really. To me at least.
