So I really enjoyed the movie! It is still faithful to the book but with the obvious change and added scene to make a good movie. Only hardcore purist will complain but I was okay with it. The only disappointed I have is the dialogue. It is not that great but I was expecting it since the trailer. And Teresa is not that enough develop or feel important in the movie.
The movie is fast pace so there's no time to waist. The big scene that were important in the book are manage differently in the movie but still made sense. When they were already out of the maze I didnt want the movie to end already it past so fast!
The thing a liked most and impressed with was the sound effects! The maze noises, grievers! It is just so good! But you can still feel it was a low movie budget in some maze scene... I felt it really look like a set. But when its some big visual shots it is just gorgeous.
I really like how Wes manage the ending. It is different from the book but in a good way because it connect directly to the second book. And the last shot was just such a good tease for what's coming next and for sure they will need a big budget.
So yeah I feel the need to go rewatch it to give it a final rating and this time I will go watch it in IMAX. It was a good adaptation and I'm not disappointed of it.
I just have one burning question that I can wait to ask you guys and talk about after you watch it. Its the only change I'm really curious about.
