Who was the best Harry Potter Director?
Here is a line-by-line breakdown of the prophecy from the OotP book:
ESSENCE OF THE STORY? How can everyone ignore that fact that HE REMOVED 90% OF THE PROPHECY - one of the two WHOLE POINTS in the saga!
1. The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches- addressed in OotP
2. Born to those who have thrice defied him- not addressed
3. Born as the seventh month dies- addressed in DH 2
4. And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal- addressed in OotP
5. But he will have power the Dark Lord knows not- addressed in OotP
6. And either must die at the hand at the other for neither can live while the other survives- addressed in OotP
7. The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies (basically a repeat of #1 and #3)
OotP did not address 2 out of 6 points of the prophecy, or 33%, not 90% as you claimed.
